Decreased text contrast of "Builder Dark" color scheme

I really like the "Builder Dark" as code colour scheme, but unfortunately since 43 the readability / contrast of the menu items has become noticeably worse, as now the entire window gets recoloured.

Is it possible to use a brighter white for the interface text color, like "Adwaita Dark", without changing the colors for the code editor?

I admit this is "complaining" at a high level, but it's really a bit frustrating with my cheap LCD screen with a miserable screen quality :(
