HTML document parsed as XHTML
Steps to reproduce
- Create the following HTML document on your local file system:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en-US">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8"/>
<title>test</title>
</head>
<body>
<input>
</body>
</html>
- Make sure (e.g. with Nautilus) that the file is properly detected as
text/html
. - Open the file with Builder
Expected Behaviour
Since the above document is a valid HTML document. Builder should show no errors.
Actual Behaviour
Despite all that Builder parses the document like it was XHTML. I.e. it complains that the input tag wasn't closed.
Interestingly when the mime type of the file is reported as application/octet-stream
(as is the case with sftp mounts) the file shows no errors. In fact it shows no errors at all. Even for syntax that isn't allowed in pure HTML. Syntax highlighting still works though.
Edit
Oh. And I forgot to mention that I'm using version 3.32.1-4-g1b0423699
