High disk writes when VM is running in background
Guests launched by Boxes make qemu-system-x86_64 process tend to write unexplained data to disk constantly, when I switch away from Boxes window or click < (Back) button on the Boxes UI.
Host:
- Fedora 32 Workstation (Gnome)
- Intel Core i9 - 9880H
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a VM in Boxes or Virt-Manager. (You don't even need to create storage for the guest)
- Run any Live distro (To make sure the guest is not writing anything to disk)
- Click back (<) button on the GNOME Boxes window.
- Launch System Monitor and watch Disk Write of qemu-system-x86_64 process.
Disk write will keep on growing at a constant rate.
This does not happen when the guest is launched under Virt-Manager.
