Take advantage of "osinfo-db-import --nightly"
With the implementation of https://gitlab.com/libosinfo/osinfo-db/-/issues/118, we now can get the latest osinfo-db
data of the most recent commit directly via:
$ osinfo-db-import --nightly
The above command downloads the latest osinfo-db
, and installs it in user location (/home/$USER/.config/osinfo/
) for normal users. For more details, refer man osinfo-db-import
/ man osinfo-db-path
).
GNOME Boxes should take advantage of this and provide a seamless experience to users, on a best effort basis ( meaning that if a changed ISO url has been updated in osinfo-db
, GNOME Boxes should not fail anymore with HTTP/404 ).
