Add Bluetooth Option to time out devices
Hello,
This is more of a feature request than a bug. If this is the wrong forum for it, my apologies, and could someone with better knowledge escalate this to the proper channel.
Currently I use bluetooth to connect my gamepad and play games. This works wonderfully, except for a single detail. I might be playing for an hour, and then quit playing. I then take a break for 4-6 hours, maybe I do some work, or maybe go away on errands. When I return, I find that the Bluetooth device I have been using has been connected to the computer this entire time.
I can manually disconnect the controller, but only by clicking on the device in the bluetooth manager and then turning it off.
My proposal: I would like it if there was a simple disconnect timer. Something like this:
Disconnect My Device After [ 1000 ] minutes of inactivity.
This would be added to the dialog option included below. 1000 is chosen as a default as it is an easy number to remember. Naturally, in my use case I would like to set it to something like 5 minutes, but for something like a keyboard or mouse, a much higher number is desirable. Perhaps even a checkbox?
This is a quality of life improvement, right now I am circumventing this with a script found on Github [1], but it sure would make my life easier if this could be integrated into Gnome (and Ubuntu) proper.
