System constantly discoverable (not only when Bluetooth settings are open)
Normally, the system should not be discoverable by other Bluetooth devices unless one has Gnome's Bluetooth settings opened. However, my system is constantly discoverable when Bluetooth is enabled.
Steps to reproduce:
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled and the Gnome Bluetooth settings window is closed
- Search on another device (e.g., a smartphone) for visible Bluetooth devices. Notice that your Linux system shows up.
Similar behavior has been observed (and fixed) twice over the last years:
I'm running Arch Linux and have the following software versions installed:
- Gnome Bluetooth 42.6 (no distribution patches)
- Bluez 5.68 (no distribution patches)
- Linux Kernel 6.4.10 (no Bluetooth-related patches)
My system is a Lenovo T14s (AMD, Gen1) which contains an Intel AX200.
Please ask if I missed any important information or if I can somehow help in debugging this.
