glib-compile-schemas: Improve translatable strings

Eliminate several cases of splitting sentences between multiple translatable strings, and remove some newlines from the translatable strings (they always need to be present, and can confuse translation, so add them unconditionally afterwards).

Marked as WIP as it changes translatable strings, so must not be merged until we’ve branched from 2.60.
