source formatting is messed up in some files
I was checking some source files and found that the source formatting is completely messed up in some files due to mixing tabs and spaces for indentation. An example is gio/glocalvfs.c: in lines 176 to 189 the indentation is moved several spaces to the right. In gio/glocalfile.c, lines 368 to 381 the indentation is four spaces to the left... and so on, in several parts. If the editor presumes that a tab is 4 blank spaces (like gitlab does), all looks fine; but if it sets it to a value deduced from blank spacing indentation, then the code looks completely messed up. These errors make reading the source code very cumbersome.
Also, there are a lot of empty lines with blank spaces, or lines with blank spaces at the end.
I want to send some patches to fix these indentation errors, but I want to know how would be the best way:
- a single MR with a single commit that fixes all in all files
- a single MR with a commit per each file fixed
- a single MR with a commit per each function fixed
- one MR per file with a single commit that fixes all the file
- one MR per file with a commit per function fixed
- other
