glib command output garbled for non-ASCII text in Windows UTF-8 environment
gio
, gdbus
and so on do not display non-ASCII text correctly in Windows with UTF-8 environment.
Maybe glib in Windows forces to use local language encoding instead of UTF-8.....?
My console codepage (and also my local system) is utf-8 and this bug comes out. But when I swiched to GBK (the default codec of Chinese Windows), it didn't garble.
Also, the command gio cat xxxx.txt
can output GBK-encoded content correctly but not UTF-8 content.
It seems that gio doesn't recognize system encoding correctly.
