OpenSSL backend uses not thread-safe ERR_error_string API
The OpenSSL backend uses ERR_error_string()
throughout the codebase but to quote the docs:
Note that this function is not thread-safe and does no checks on the size of the buffer; use ERR_error_string_n() instead.
This is a simple change it just needs to be done in a few places.
