Increase vertical information density in git history (layout improvement)?
Compared to gitk, gitg needs almost twice the vertical space to display the same history. Since I use gitg mainly for inspecting a project's history when it is fairly complex, it is my opinion that seeing more of it is better.
In the attached screenshot, gitg is on the left, gitk on the right, and I tried to only show approximately the same history (However, because the order of commits is different, gitk on the right actually shows more commits).
I think it would be better to have a denser display of the history in gitg, by decreasing the vertical whitespace between commit messages.
