Gitg does not 'fast-forward' when merging with a direct descendant of the current branch
I'm trying to merge my local development branch with a remote branch with the same name.
Most of the time, I just want to do a fast-forward, since the remote branch is a direct descendant of the current one, and I haven't done any commit to my local branch before trying to do the merge.
I expect Gitg to just do a 'fast-forward' merge, but instead, it does a 'non fast-forward' one.
Command line git does 'fast-forward' merges by default, as it says in the documentation. How can I get the same behaviour in Gitg?
Gitg version 41
