undefined symbol: ggit_branch_set_upstream
Hi,
I was facing an issue described in #95 (closed) and wanted to upgrade to the latest version to get everything working correctly. Running Linux Mint 19, gitg 3.26.0 is the latest available release, so I had to build from scratch.
When running a newly compiled gitg within a valid git repository, I get the following error:
$ /home/alex/tmp/gitg-3.32.1/build/gitg/gitg .
$ /home/alex/tmp/gitg-3.32.1/build/gitg/gitg: symbol lookup error: /home/alex/tmp/gitg-3.32.1/build/gitg/gitg: undefined symbol: ggit_branch_set_upstream
I found a similar issue being mentioned in relation to libgit2-glib
and that it was fixed in libgit2-glib-0.28.0.1-1
. I compiled a much newer version (libgit2-glib-0.99.0.1
), where I would expect the fix to also be present. What am I doing wrong and what would you advice to trace the root cause ?
Best regards, Alexander Fedulov
