Initial list of commits should scroll to HEAD even if origin has newer commits

Description
Say my history is like
- origin/master | new commit | new commit | new commit | new commit, this is the last one that fits in the window | new commit | new commit
- master (i.e. my local HEAD) <- focused row is here but I can't see it | | ...
If there are tons of new commits newer than my HEAD, then the initial display will have origin/master at the top and my local master will be invisible as one needs to scroll to see it.
Workaround: hit Down, then Up, to cause the list of commits to scroll and make the focused row visible.
