Soft Proofing Dockable
Operating System: All
Description of the feature
Add a Soft Proofing Dockable to GIMP
This dockable would allow the user to set and save:
- soft proofing profile - icc file
- display rendering intent
- black point compensation
- LCMS
- Mark Out of Gamut colours
- Apply to Active Display/View
- Convert Soft Proof to Image sRGB (bake it in)
This would replace the contents of the Soft Proofing Toggle.
This would negate the need for Image->Soft Proof Profile, Intent, BPC.
This would set any relevant Colour Management options in the View Menu.
Use cases
This gives Soft Proofing a much needed space of it's own
It's clearly about Soft Proofing the active Display/View
This would allow a user to save frequently used arrangements as a preset
It would allow quick access to all the necessary options.
It's consistent with GIMP UI.
By baking/converting, the user could export the image as an sRGB jpeg that looks like a CMYK soft proof does in GIMP
The 'pointer' has a dockable, so Soft Proofing definitely should. ;)
