Cannot compile gimp on Ubuntu 23.04 with -Dpython=true flag

Description of the bug
After successfully compiling babl and gegl, GIMP fails to compile if I run meson setup _build
with the -Dpython=true
flag.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- clone GIMP
- run
meson setup _build -Dpython=true
ormeson _build -Dpython=true
…
Expected result: building completes
Actual result: Build fails. Output is as follows:
meson setup _build -Dpython=true
