GIMP 2.99.14 Text Tool Color Options UI Tweak
Operating System: All
Description of the feature
Right now, when a user selects the "Outlined" style in the new Text tool dialogue (yellow arrow in the attached image), a color box appears below where the user can select the color they want for their outline (for the "Solid Color" radio option). However, the color box above for the text "Fill" color (red arrow in the attached image) remains active above the "Style" dropdown. I believe this option should be grayed out whenever "Outlined" is selected, as the Fill color is not applicable for this option. It could be the same way the "Solid Color" box is blocked off (blue arrow in the attached image) when the "Pattern" radio button is selected.
Currently, when the user has the "Outlined" style selected from the "Style" dropdown, they can still click the "Color" box and select a color, but nothing will happen to the text because the Fill color is turned off here.
Also, perhaps this box should be labeled "Fill Color" instead of just "Color."
