GIMP forgets the "better but slower compression" save option after exporting

Description of the bug
GIMP initially remembers the "better but slower compression" setting after being set. However, the setting is forgotten once you attempt to export the image. This forces you to use the 'save as' dialogue to check it again after exporting the image.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Save an XCF with the "better but slower compression" option enabled
- Open the export menu
- Select 'export' and reach the window with the settings for export
- Finish the export or close the window
…
Expected result: GIMP remembers the "better but slower compression" setting
Actual result: The setting is reset to it's default value (false)
