Select-All -> Shrink/Etc by any # of pixels along border is unclear and appears as a bug though it is not
Operating System: https://download.gimp.org/gimp/v2.10/windows/gimp-2.10.32-setup-1.exe
Description of the feature
When shrinking a selection, and 'shrink (or feather, .etc) from image border' is used, it does nothing when the entire image is selected (which is correct, of course). Possibly including a sub-caption in the dialog as a warning that it will do nothing would make it clearer.
Note
The documentation does mention this, but it sounded rather cryptic at first read, this could help prevent false bug reports, because when all selected and operation, (rightly) does nothing and to some may come off as looking like a bug.
Use cases
I'll just throw out a couple of possible ways to do this just as a quick example:
original:
[x] Shrink from image border
instead:
[x] Do not affect image borders
or
[x] Ignore selection(s) on image border(s)
or
[x] Shrink from image border [red]Warning this will have no effect![/red]
Of course, you can word it how you like, these are really just examples after all!

(If this is beyond possibility as there /are/ other more important issues, just close me.) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
