When I already have a text layer selected in the "Layers" listing, clicking the "Text Tool" and then inside the bounds of that text layer on the canvas should place the text cursor at the according position of that text layer. What happens instead is that even though I have a text layer already chosen that already overlays the clicked point, GIMP just seems to pick any random other text layer that possibly overlaps, making it almost impossible to reliably select a letter in any text layer if you have multiple ones overlapping. It feels like a case of GIMP trying to be too smart for its own good, like GIMP is trying to smartly guess which text layer I could possibly mean even though I already have one selected and clearly clicked inside that one.
Affected GIMP Version: 2.10.32
Tested on Operating System: Fedora 36
