Color Balance and Hue-Saturation Tools Changing Colors without User Changing Parameters
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.10.32
- Package: Installer from gimp.org
- Operating System: Windows 11 Home
Description of the bug
When working with some images (.RAW files opened via Darktable 3.8.1), opening the Color Balance or Hue-Saturation tool makes changes to the image without the user changing any of the parameters in the dialogue box. The effect differs between images, and does not happen on all images. It most often seems to turn yellow much darker or completely black, or lighten blue skies. A file for which this happens is attached (the yellow flowers are darkened when either of the dialogue boxes are opened. Before/After images are shown below.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always, when using the same image. Which images it applies to seems random.
Reproduction steps:
- Open .RAW file (via Darktable plugin)
- Open Color Balance or Hue-Saturation Tool
…
Expected result: Should be no change to the image, as no parameters/values have been modified.
Actual result: Certain colors in the image are noticeably changed, others remain unchanged.
