Gimp no longer remembers text layer settings (font size, etc.)
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.10.32
- Package: flatpack? Downloaded from Gimp.org
- Operating System: macOS
Description of the bug
All text information is not retained on the text layer. Note that size isn't the only one that isn't retained. No settings are retained. The text tool just always shows the latest settings used. So if a user wants to go back and edit or alter the text, they must remember all settings such as size, kerning, spacing, etc. Very tedious and this issue was fixed in 2.10.2 on mac (see screenshot).
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- On mac os x 2.10.32 gimp, create a new project.
- Create a text layer and set the font size to 33 px, text "test1"
- Create a new text layer and set the font size to 66 px, text "test2"
- Click on the "test1" text layer, the size of the text shows as 66. Entering any new text is at the size 66. Even if you select the text (select all), it will still show as 66.
…
Expected result: Expect the settings of the currently selected text either multiple characters or just curser in place, that the original settings of the text will show.
Actual result: Size is retained from latest changes. never reverts to the ones used to create/modify the text.
