GIMP crashed when copy selected area
Linux ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS on thinkpad T470 same behavior with:
- gimp 2.10.28 and tested today with the latest version installed with flatpak (flatpak run org.gimp.GIMP//stable)
- I open an image, select a rectangle area and then Edit > copy result is: gimp crashes If I select cut and not copy, it is the same behavior > crash.
with flatpak:
$ flatpak run org.gimp.GIMP//stable
Note that the directories
'/var/lib/flatpak/exports/share'
'/home/xxxxx/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share'
are not in the search path set by the XDG_DATA_DIRS environment variable, so
applications installed by Flatpak may not appear on your desktop until the
session is restarted.

The program 'gimp-2.10' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.

(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
