Gimp crashes when switching from two displays to one and back on macOS
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.10.24
- Package: download from gimp.org
- Operating System: macOS Monterey 12.2.1 with an external display
Description of the bug
Gimp crashes if I'm using it on an external display and then I unplug the external display.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Randomly. This has happened about 6 times. Once I figured out what was going on, I could reproduce it once but then couldn't reproduce it again. So there must be something else necessary.
Reproduction steps:
- Open a large file (500 MB) on display #2 (closed).
- Unplug the display from the laptop.
- Plug the display back in.
…
Expected result: Gimp works normally.
Actual result: Gimp displays a beachball. debugserver and lldb processes use 100% CPU forever. See bug 7785.
