GIMP Help Browser on Windows, slow loading and no text
When pressing F1 or any help button on the dialogs, the GIMP Help Browser on Windows loads very slowly and initially doesn't show any text.
The page is initially empty with some icons and layout rectangles visible. Only when you start clicking or scrolling it sometimes appears correctly. I.e. when you move the scroll bar up and down, select some text or press CTRL+A or CTRL+F the text finally does appear tbh it's unclear to me what input exactly triggers the text to appear correctly, I can't reliably reproduce it.
So on any dialog, press the Help
button to start the GIMP Help Browser
Initially the page is empty and scrambled, you can select invisible text
After waiting for it to load and some mouse clicking or scrolling, the help text will sometimes appear.
Use cases
Help documentation is very valuable for newcomers and first time users, and having to wait for empty help pages is annoying.
Also wouldn't it be easier to open an online wiki page or something like that, instead of creating a custom help browser?
