Sometimes the screen is only partially redrawn while scrolling on macOS
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.10.24
- Package: From gimp.org
- Operating System: macOS Big Sur 11.5.2
Description of the bug
Very often when I'm scrolling an image, only part of the screen gets redrawn, so the screen will have different sections of the image at the top and bottom.
This bug isn't serious, since the screen redraws correctly if I scroll a bit more, but it happens a lot so I figured I'd mention it. (The screen also redraws if I try to get a screenshot.)
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Randomly
Reproduction steps:
- Load an image
- Move scrollbar up and down.
- Be unlucky.
Expected result:
Screen redraws with the scrolled area.
Actual result:
Part of the screen shows the scrolled area, and part shows the previous area. Strangely, the scrollbar will also be partially redrawn, so it can end up broken in two.
Additional information
I only saw this after upgrading to GIMP 2.10.24. I first noticed it on big images, but it happens on moderate (1600x1600) images too.
Since this isn't reproducible on demand, and has low impact, feel free to ignore this. This bug is more of a placeholder in case a bunch of people are seeing this problem.
