Search Actions dialog sometimes immediately loses focus
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.10.24
- Package: arch linux
- Operating System: arch linux
Description of the bug
Search action window sometimes immediately loses focus to the main gimp window
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Randomly
Reproduction steps:
- open gimp
- press '/' to open the quick search bar
- select and run some action (possibly something that doesn't require another dialog, e.g. auto white balance or color enhance)
- press '/' again
Expected result:
- the search window spawns and stays in focus
Actual result:
- sometimes, the quick search window spawns and quickly loses focus
- note: this happens most often in my laptop (pictured in the video below) and rarely, but it still happens, in my more powerful desktop. They have the same OS (arch linux) and the same window manager (dwm).
Video: https://0x0.st/-_V4.mp4 output
You can see the "Search Actions" toolbar appearing and, sometimes, immediately losing focus in favor of the main gimp window.
Additional info
The window manager I use is dwm. I cannot reproduce it with i3-wm and I haven't tested other window managers. However, even in dwm, GIMP is the only software that causes this strange behavior. I am not sure whose fault it is, but it's probably an edge case in either piece of software.
I am available to test on other window managers and/or with other gimp versions. I don't think I can build from master, but I can probably run a packaged -devel or -latest.
Thanks in advance! Alessandro
