Opacity-Transparency of paintbrush
The latest version of GIMP is comparable to a test version-- never should have hit the streets. There are so many "missing" features like for instance simply how to control transparency of a brush- missing from the tool box. I read your latest developer version is going to put that menu back in because some cockeyed scheme changed it and thought it was discoverable. Apparently, it isn't. I'm not a regular user anymore- but I used to be for nearly 20 yrs. Everything in Gimp is so screwed up.
What happened to the dedicated GIMP inventors and project keepers who were so meticulus when they issued upgrades- they passed the torch only after carefully vetting. They knew how to design an interface that was intuitive. Why did this project end up on github? This is the second piece of ruined software where I have been led here to gitlab/github to find the source of destruction! MIT runs this?
Gimp was better maintained when it was run as an independent project. I wish I could get my hands on an old version because sadly GIMP has been ruined. I am furious so I am marking this confidential. I know that you all try and donate your time-but I want the overseers at least to know what they have done to a good project. GIMP's interface wasn't broken for years and years. Now it is.
