User Interface For Dark Mode (Made On Windows)
Operating System
This is a slight redesign of Gimp I made on Windows. I was told by Jehan_ZeMarmot on Reddit that this was the place to ask for changes.
Description of the feature
This is particularly for dark mode to make the icons "pop out" with brighter colors as opposed to the desaturated colors that are currently used for the icons. Also, some of the buttons and borders and check boxes have been changed with redesigns and value changes to make the borders on the buttons be slightly highlighted (as not to stand out too much from the rest of the interface, but still be noticeable.) I've also changed the scroll bars by removing the rounded corners at the end. I think that fits the rest of the interface. The ellipsis tool has been given a redesign to be a little more symmetrical. My favorite of all these changes are the blue icons and the new check boxes in the listed menu options. I have linked a preview of the design below and given a link to the Reddit post. At the bottom, there is an attached zip file that contains a folder called Dark and a folder called tools that belong in their respective folder in the Gimp's program file on Windows. I hope you try it out and I hope you like it. I've been using Gimp this way for almost a year now. (If anyone is curious I also did a redesign of Firefox. Firefox Reddit Post.)
