Description of the bug
The scissor tool does very well selecting edges bright->dark but seems to actively avoid dark->bright edges. See attached screenshots.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always / Randomly / Happened only once ] (write it after the > symbol)--> Always
Reproduction steps:
- Load a image with a shape you'll try to cut out.
- Optional, mark the points where you'll click with the scissor tool.
- Try to select the shape with the scissor tool.
- Now mirror the picture left<->right and try to select the shape again.
You'll see, if your shape is darker than its background, the left edges will be way better than the right edges.

Expected result: The scissor tool should select the same path on a mirrored shape and should select all edges equally well no matter their direction. Actual result: The scissor tool selects white->black edges well but not black->white edges, even if the edge is the same shape.
