Key Modifiers for Recursive Transform
Operating System: (if feature is platform specific)
Description of the feature
It appears, at least on Windows 10 and GIMP 2.10.22, that the "Recursive Transform" filter does not use the key modifiers found in all the other transform tools in GIMP. It would be nice if it did use key modifiers, or checkbox options in the GEGL Operations Tool Options.
Use cases
Example: when you are using the Recursive Transform filter, you want to scale the original layer down from the center and maintain the aspect ratio of the layer. Currently, you don't have this option - so you have to try to guess whether or not you are close to the original aspect ratio, and whether or not your scaling is actually centered and around the center point of the layer. It's a guessing game. A quick fix would be adding the ability to hold the shift+ctrl keys while scaling (or performing any of the transformations found in this tool - which is essentially just the unified transform tool). I'm not sure how this would be implemented as it's a GEGL filter and not a tool, so there isn't access to Tool Options for the filter. Although perhaps these options could somehow be added to the "GEGL Operations" tool options for certain filters, such as this one, that use transformations?
