CI distcheck failing with some weird files - e.g. libgimpmodule3.actions
So on our master CI, the distcheck jobs fails with:
rm -f Makefile
ERROR: files left in build directory after distclean:
./devel-docs/libgimpmodule/libgimpmodule3.actions
./devel-docs/libgimpconfig/libgimpconfig3.actions
./devel-docs/libgimpthumb/libgimpthumb3.actions
./devel-docs/libgimpwidgets/libgimpwidgets3.actions
./devel-docs/libgimpbase/libgimpbase3.actions
./devel-docs/libgimp/libgimp3.actions
./devel-docs/libgimpcolor/libgimpcolor3.actions
make[1]: *** [Makefile:1155: distcleancheck] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/builds/GNOME/gimp/_build/gimp-2.99.1/_build/sub'
make: *** [Makefile:1084: distcheck] Error 1
But I have no idea what these .actions
files are. I can't find any reference to these (that should be related to gtk-docs but I can't find when or how these are built).
It would seem that the CI started failing at 2ac9b606 (or possibly the previous commit, but we can't know for sure as the previous CI failed for non-build reason, rather apparently runner/docker failure), which doesn't make much sense as it's just a po file update. So maybe some environment issue (a build tool update in the runner which doesn't agree with the build system?).
Note that I can't reproduce the issue locally (distcheck
ends perfectly and no weird .actions
files ever seem to be created during the build).
