Slow performance in 4K
GIMP Version:
$ rpm -qa | grep gimp gimp-2.10.20-1.fc32.x86_64 gimp-libs-2.10.20-1.fc32.x86_64
Operating System:
Fedora 32 (MATE-Compiz) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 5.8.14-200.fc32.x86_64 x86_64
MATE 1.24.1
Issue Description
I've recently switched monitor from 25" 2560x1440 to 32" 3840x2160, while I had no issues using GIMP on 25" screen, performance of GIMP has dropped massively when I switched to 32" screen. My screen is not upscaled for hiDPI (not needed).
Performance Log
Performance Log Description
Used crop tool on a 20mpix image, the lag is 2-3 seconds, as if I was watching a movie in a slow motion. To the point it doesn't record the fact I've tried to use crop.
Additional Information
Got what I thought was a pretty powerful set up which should have no problems with performing 2D operations on a 4K screen:
Memory: 32 GiB
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz × 8
GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
