Add an option to remember the folders used with Open, Export (As), Save (As), Save a Copy individually

Operating System: Windows

Description of the feature

I am retouching a lot of fotos. They reside in a folder. The retouched fotos are stored in a different folder. Whenever I click in Export As I have to navigate through my folders until I reach the correct one. And I have to do this for each foto.

GIMP remembers the Open folder, but why it cannot remember the Export As folder (or any other folder for any other commands)?

I also use Paint Shop Pro 2003 (it was shareware then) and it remembers each different folder used for Open, Save, Save As, Save Copy As (a very intereseting feature not present in GIMP), etc.

Why a humble paint program, 17 years old can have persistent folders attached to its different commands and a more ambitious image editing program like GIMP still lacks this feature? This lack of different persistent folders in their different commands makes GIMP amateurish.

Please, implement it!

Thanks for your attention,

Ramón Pajares, Spain.
