Incorrect colors shown on certyain UI elements and color picker (blue overlay)

GIMP version: 2.10.18 Operating System: Linux

Package: Debian package

Description of the bug

In a certain case (display via vnc) on Debian Linux, Gimp has some incorrect UI colors. There ia a blue color where white or transparency should be. This includes the brushes, patterns, layer previews icons, color picker which shows only blue to black.

I reset all settings to no avail. Version is 2.10.18, running on Debian and Xfce. Colors seem to be ok on actual images although sometimes when adjusting filters i remember having the blue color.

The computer is a virtual machine on Proxmox(Qemu) and the session is run in a vnc server (no graphical console). Is there an option to force gimp to use some fallback setting that prevents this from happening?
