Unistall issue (GIMP wasn't the only thing that was gone)
GIMP version:
Note: bug reporters are expected to have verified the bug still exists either in the last stable version of GIMP or on updated development code (master branch).
Operating System: AS far as I know it was [Windows]
Package: I'm not sure...it happened around 2014
Description of the bug
When Uninstalling Gimp, the uninstall took everything that it could take with it in the process. I wasn't aware that all my stuff (school work, personal projects, etc...) were missing until the uninstall was complete and I looked over everything. I don't have any screenshots but I was furious and never wanted to reinstall GIMP ever again until I knew that something was done about it and there was evidence proving that it was fixed. I even lost photographs of family members and friends in the process.
It happened in a while ago when I had a 32 bit Toshiba laptop that even though slow, it was reliable to me for school. I even took my laptop to my computer wiz uncle and he looked that thing top and bottom and found nothing as to why or how it could have happened.
I don't have a approximate date/time but i do remember it being from the years 2014-2017. I want to reinstall it but I need clear cut and thorough proof that this won't happen again or that this was fixed. I don't care how long...this probably happened to someone else already. I want to trust gimp because when I had it...it worked for me...even though I didn't thoroughly use it, i used it nonetheless.
