Description
This feature request is inspired by the bug # 694779 (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/process_bug.cgi). The resolution was a work-around. However, I would like to suggest some ways to prevent a need for a work-around:
Request: A setting to turn off preset saving for plugins like Brightness/Contrast.
Reason: It saves a lot of time/date named presets in the preset drop down box and if one wants to save their own custom preset, it saves it at the bottom and as the list grows and grows, it becomes harder to find your own saved presets.
Alternate Idea #1: Change the function of the save presets to save the presets under a separator under any user-saved presets (or even make a setting for this option as well as to turn it off entirely). At least if the presets are growing under the user ones, the user can save them.
Alternate Idea #2 (closed): Create a button in the plugin to "redo last" and "history" so one can choose from that separate from the presets. The history could be a button that pops up a dialog with a list of the time/date stamp presets.
The whole idea here is to keep the presets drop down box uncluttered so that it is easier to find user-created presets.
