Mis-parsed IPTC Keywords (first keyword duplicated)
GIMP version: 2.10.14 (2nd edition)
Note: bug reporters are expected to have verified the bug still exists either in the last stable version of GIMP or on updated development code (master branch).
Operating System: Windows 10
Package: Installer from gimp.org
Description of the bug
An image with multiple IPTC keywords (created with Adobe Lightroom 5) is displayed as having the first keyword multiple times.
Example (original image, exiftool):
Current IPTC Digest : 0ae22d9d770c5c3f9dcc6a60e31da69f
Coded Character Set : UTF8
Application Record Version : 4
Object Name : Stilleben mit Kerzen
Keywords : Beleuchtung, Belichtungsreihe, Fotographie, Kerzen, Kerzenschein, Licht, Nahaufnahme, Reihenaufnahme, Serienaufnahme, Stilleben
When opening the file and then saving it without any edits, the IPTC is reordered and looks like this (exiftool):
Current IPTC Digest : fcdc3b2e132cc70b757c39c63a576066
Coded Character Set : UTF8
Keywords : Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung, Beleuchtung
Object Name : Stilleben mit Kerzen
I confirm that this is not a bug in exiftool. The duplicated keywords are displayed inside GIMP right after loading already.
Reproduction
The bug is reproducible.
Reproduction steps:
- Create a (JPG) file with IPTC keywords
- Load that file into GIMP
- Display IPTC metadata
Expected result: Keyword list is correct
Actual result: Only first keyword displayed; keyword duplicated
