Wrong comment being used for exporting multi-layer image
GIMP version: 2.10.12
Note: bug reporters are expected to have verified the bug still exists either in the last stable version of GIMP or on updated development code (master branch).
Operating System: Windows 7
Package: Installer from gimp.org?
Description of the bug
I composed a multi-layer image from JPGE images exported by Adobe Lightroom 5.7.1. Each image has a different comment (exiftools displays it as "Image Description", "Caption-Abstract", and "Description").
When trying an export as JPG the first time, I noticed that the comment from one arbitrary layer (the first image loaded?) is beig used as JPG comment.
So I canceled the export and set a Metadata description, hoping that would be used instead. However the comment being used for jpeg export is none of the texts visible when editing image metadata.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? I guess yes, but haven't tried.
Reproduction steps:
- Have images with comments
- Compose a multi-layer image with those images
- Export as JPGE
Expected result: No comment, comment from all layers, or comment from image metadata should be used for exporting JPEG.
Actual result:
The comment of one layer, but not the comment from the image metadata is being used.
