The "Type" dropdown in Google Chrome's "Save As" dialog says "GIMP 2.10.12" for PDF format
GIMP version: 2.10.12
Operating System: Windows 10 Home, Version 1809, OS Build 17763.557
Package: Installer from gimp.org: gimp-2.10.12-setup-1.exe
Description of the bug
Ever since I installed this version of GIMP, when I choose to save a Gmail email(s) as a PDF in Google's Chrome browser (Version 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)), the Windows "Save As" pop-up now defaults to "GIMP 2.10.12 (*.pdf)" in the "Save as type:" dropdown (see attached screenshot).
NOTE 1: Although this is a bit confusing because it never occurred in the many years that I've used prior versions of GIMP, I have not yet experienced any problems as a result, but merely minor inconvenience and distraction.
NOTE 2: This does not happen in Chrome if I select "Print to PDF".
NOTE 3: This does not happen in either Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Open a Gmail email(s).
- Select either the Print All icon (for multiple/threaded emails) or the Print option from the dropdown menu (in any single email).
- In the "Destination" dropdown menu, select "Save as PDF".
- Click the Save button.
- Observe the "Save as type:" dropdown in the resulting "Save As" pop-up.
…
Expected result: The "Save as type:" dropdown in the resulting "Save As" pop-up should default to showing only "(*.pdf)".
Actual result: The "Save as type:" dropdown in the resulting "Save As" pop-up defaults to showing "GIMP 2.10.12 (*.pdf)".
