Bug: Can't "unmove" with move tool
The title is a touch confusing, but being that I am extremely inexperienced with technical terms and with any form of online graphic design programs (GIMP, Photoshop, etc), I will do the absolute best I physically can to describe what in the world is happening.
So I was making a nice avatar for a new DnD character, cropping, editing, even attempting to use the "perspective" tool or whatever it's called. Overall, my current progress looks pretty good to me for someone of my skills, or lack thereof.
However, while I was in my browser getting some new images, I apparently clicked some combination of buttons that activated the move tool and brought up the little pop-up menu when you right click. So I immediately set to doing what I normally do when I am stuck on a random tool. Panicked and tried flipping through tools to get out of it (which has surprisingly worked so far).
However, this wasn't like a normal "stick". Instead, as I was stuck in the Move tool, everywhere I moved my cursor, the layer moved. To make it worse, I couldn't close out of the pop-up menu. And furthermore, maybe due to a combination of the two, I cannot actually select anything in GIMP.
If any of that makes sense to someone out there, I would greatly appreciate the help, and hopefully, it comes soon or otherwise it looks like I might have to hold off on my avatar until next week.
Oh and as far as I can tell, I am using the GIMP 2 that was at the time of download (24 June 2018) the latest version, dunno if it's updated since and as I said earlier, I can't actually select anything inside of GIMP. Attempting to open a new instance doesn't work (if it even would have) and I am not all too eager on using Windows Manager on this as this simple little image took me the better part of like 3-4 hours
If I need anything else added, just let me know, and I'll do the best I can. Which may not be all that great though.
