Changing the image comment does not mark the image as modified

Description
Please describe the problem: Updates to image comments are not saved when "Save" is selected from the "File" menu.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a .png file
- Select "Image," "Image Properties" (redundant, BTW)
- Select the "Comment" tab
- Enter some junk and stuff (or this and that, or whatnot or what-have-you)
- Click "Close"
- Attempt to save the file ("File," Save")
Actual results: Notice that changes are not saved (the status bar at the bottom of the user interface will say "No changes need to be saved").
Expected results: Because the image comment is part of the image file, I would expect changes to the image comment to cause the file to be flagged as dirty/changed.
Does this happen every time? Yep
Other information: Due to GIMP's failure to flag the file as dirty, GIMP allows users to close images w/out prompting to save. This is why I selected the "Critical / Data Loss" rating of this bug.
Workaround: "Save As" will forcibly save the image and updated comments over the old image (but the need to do this will likely be oblivious to most users).
Thanx!
