Overwrite doesn't preserve scale
GIMP version: 2.8.18
Operating System: Windows 10
Package: gimp.org installer
Description of the bug
I needed to scale the size of an EPS figure to be reproduced in LaTeX with a width of 8.5cm. I used Image > Scale Image, changing the image size to width 8.5cm and leaving the resolution alone. I save the updated version with File > Overwrite , then close the window. If I reopen the EPS file, the image size has reverted to the original
If I instead save to a new EPS file, the scale change is saved as expected. Not sure why overwrite doesn't save that change.
Reproduction
Always occurs
Reproduction steps:
- opened EPS figure (tried with multiple figures; always occurs)
- Image > scale image > width = x
- File > Overwrite
- Close window and discard changes
- Reopen figure; image size is the same as before scaling. …
Expected result:
New image size should be retained after File > Overwrite
Actual result:
Image size reverts to original
