GIMP creates ${gimp_cache_dir}
GIMP version: 2.99.1
Operating System: Linux (Manjaro, Gnome edition, up to date)
Package: gimp-gtk3 2.99.1.r42513.7ce5abd3-1
Description of the bug
Creates a strange directory in my /home directory. Directory is called ${gimp_cache_dir} and is made whenever a file is opened by GIMP.
Whilst this is not a major bug - GIMP has not crashed on me, it clearly seems an error. As far as I can understand ${gimp_cache_dir} is actually a defined variable somewhere in GIMP code (e.g gimp/app/config/gimpgeglconfig.c) and perhaps the variable is not assigned properly?
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Note the directory ${gimp_cache_dir} in your home dir
- delete it
- start GIMP, open an image in GIMP
…
Expected result: this cache directory should be created under ~/.config/GIMP tree where all other things reside.
If there is a way for me to set this in a GIMP config file, I would be very happy to do that.
Best wishes,
Roberts
