GPS data is truncated to the degree when edited
GIMP version: 2.10.8
Operating System: Linux (Kubuntu 16.04)
Package: flatpak
Description of the bug
When editing GPS data Image>Metadata>Edit metadata
-> GPS
tab, the data is truncated to the degree when written.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
- Ensure the picture has GPS data
- Open in Gimp
- Navigate to the GPS tab
- Note the latitude, for instance
2deg 25' 2.055"
- Click the
Write metadata
button (no need to change anything) - Re-open the dialog/GPS tab
Expected result:
- The data is still
2deg 25' 2.055"
Actual result:
- The data has been truncated to
2deg
Additional information
- This not just a display issue, this value is what is saved with the picture.
- Tried to replace
deg
by°
but it was changed back todeg
and the data was truncated as well.
Seems different from issue #2043
