Histogram keyboard usage (left-right)

Description
Using the histogram it would be useful if the following keyboard usage would be implemented: Left or Right cursor: move the vertical line (one value wide) to the left or right. (This would allow conveniently sweeping through the histogram.) Maybe when the focus is on the Channel (or is it possible that the histogram itself can have the focus?).
Just an optional suggestion: Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right to expand the selection towards the left or right.
The question is whether a shortcut to shrink the current selection would be useful? Is it possible to distinguish between the left Ctrl and the right Ctrl? So it would be: LCtrl-Left: expand the left selection border to the left LCtrl-Right: shrink the left selection border to the right RCtrl-Left: shrink the right selection border to the left RCtrl-Right: expand the right selection border to the right
Note: I am not too convinced about that optional suggestion either; using Cursor Up/Down in the numeric fields already allows expanding/shrinking
