2.99.19 text layer bug - Deleting content in a free selection double applies a layer effect near by and creates a hidden boundary
I tested this with both GEGL Styles, dropshadow and Gaussian Blur and the same problem happens.
How to replicate this bug
-
Make a text layer
-
Make a basic outline shadow text style using generic>text styling (GEGL Styles)
-
Free select part of the text layer with Gimp's selection tool
-
Delete that part
-
Styles will double its effect in a given region to the right but only for a short distance (the boundary distance)
-
When Editing the filter (in this case dropshadow) It will clip most original content and show a invisible boundary
