Problem with Pressure Opacity on Thinkpad X13 Yoga Gen 3 with Pen
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.10.36
- Package: gimp.org
- Operating System: Windows 11 x64 Pro 23h2
Description of the bug
The Pressure Opacity is not working with my Thinkpad X13 Yoga Gen 3 with the delivered Pen. The Thinkpad has a Touchscreen and the Pen has a pressure sensitivity, I confirmed it with the software paint.net, where the pressure sensitivity is working.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible?
The Problem occurs on all ThinkPad x13 Yoga Gen 3 with the Build in Pen. It might not be reproducible with other devices.
Reproduction steps:
- All available Drivers updated
- Lenovo Pen Settings App installed, latest Version 8.2.2.0, Publisher: Wacom Technology Corp.
- Sensibility for the pen tip has been set to 100% inside the LPS App. Windows Pen settings default
- Gimp 2.10.36 installed and run
- Setting for Input devices Mode set to screen, there are 4 shown (except Core Pointer):
- Wacom Tablet Eraser
- Wacom Tablet ISD Stylus
- Wacom Tablet Pressure Stylus
- Wacom Tablet Puck
- Save the Change and closed input device settings
- Testing the Brush with Default or and None dynamics, pen is recognized in gimp
- Change the dynamics to Pressure Opacity, the Pen pointer is responding to the tip location but the pressure opacity does not recognize the signals from the pen when pressed on the screen to draw the lines.
…
Expected result: Having different thick lines be appearing while drawing
Actual result: Eternal Emptyness
