New View, Flipped Horizontally or Vertically, reverts to non-flipped after changes in original view
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: 2.99.16
- Package: flatpak from gimp.org
- Operating System: Linux Fedora 39 DE Budgie
Description of the bug
When we use an image with a new view flipped vertically or horizontally after some steps on the original window (1) the view window (1.1) doesn't maintain the view flipped. The correct behaviour is to maintain the view flipped.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Open Gimp 2.99.16 and create a new image > 'window(1)';
- Now we create a view of 'window (1)' with View/New View > it creates a view named 'window (1.1)';
- With View/Flip & Rotate/Flip horizontally;
- Use the window (1) to paint and see the 'window (1)' flipped on 'window (1.1)';
- After the first strokes in the 'window (1)' the view returns to the original situation, or rather, not flipped.

Additional information
Where is this feature used with the view horizontally flipped? Normally, when an illustrator or a cartoonist is drawing figures this tip helps to identify some errors... is a way to improve the quality of the figures.
To understand the correct behaviour I prepared two videos with Gimp 2.10.36 (OK) and with the beta 2.99.16 (bug).
