Improving legacy layer mode compatibility
This is related to the recent change in !1071 (merged) by @brunolopesdsilv that changes several PSD layer blending modes to our legacy versions when loading a PSD.
However, when clipping is set for certain PSD layers, we need to add a group and set the layer composite mode to backdrop. This seems not to be supported for our legacy layer modes, see e.g. issue #10498 (closed).
There are several options here:
- Revert the MR since it's not in a release yet, and investigate further how to go on from there.
- Only when encountering the PSD clipping layers use the non legacy blending modes. Users may find this inconsistent why sometimes e.g. the legacy normal layer mode is used and sometimes the new normal mode.
- Change our code to also allow setting layer composite mode for legacy layer modes. I haven't checked the code but this may be the most involved.
